Samsung Galaxy Star GT-S5282 coming soon. Galaxy Fame has two versions

Not long after announcing the Galaxy Fame and Galaxy Young, Samsung is getting ready to introduce yet another affordable Android smartphone. According to Sam Mobile, this will be called Samsung Galaxy Star (model number GT-S5282).

Reportedly running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Galaxy Star should feature a 3 inch display with 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, micro USB, 2MP rear camera, 4GB of on-board memory, MicroSD card support, and a 1,200 mAh battery. There is no word on how much the new handset will cost, but around $200 makes perfect sense.

The design of the Galaxy Star has not been unveiled. The handset could resemble the Samsung Star 3 (announced more than a year ago as a featurephone), but that?s just a wild guess.

Most probably, Samsung will showcase the Galaxy Star at MWC 2013 next week.

As for the aforementioned Galaxy Fame (pictured above), this seemingly has two slightly different versions: GT-S6810P (with NFC), and GT-S6810P (without NFC). Both the Galaxy Fame GT-S6810P and GT-S6810 should be available in many markets around the world (including the UK) starting March. Like the Galaxy Star, the Fame runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Its features are a bit more advanced, though, including a 3.5 inch HVGA display, 5MP rear camera, VGA front-facing camera, and a 1GHz processor.
