The game is set, the field is green, and the clink of the bats is only a few hours away as the South Carolina men's baseball begins a new season Friday afternoon.
The Gamecocks will take to the diamond for the first of a three-game opening series versus Liberty.
It's also the inaugural season for new coach Chad Holbrook. Holbrook took over for former coach Ray Tanner, who was hired by the university as its new athletics director.
Tickets for the game are already sold out, but you can still purchase them for Saturday and Sunday's games.
If you already have your tickets for Friday's game, you'll want to get there early for a tribute to Ray Tanner.
We've been hearing for a couple of days that Tanner will be honored before the game, but the folks at the university have their lips sealed.
The first pitch is set for 3 p.m. Friday.
