Lately, though, we've been giving you the chance to have YOUR say, too. Basically, we've been giving you the opportunity to tell us your favourite game from a shortlist of the week's best releases.
This week's votes have been counted (and recounted), and we have a winner: Ravenmark: Mercenaries.
Ravenmark: Mercenaries is the long-awaited sequel to turn-based strategy title Ravenmark: Scourge of Estellion, which nabbed an impressive Bronze Award when we reviewed it all the way back in 2011.
In this follow-up, you're tasked with building your very own band of mercenaries, who are capable of dispatching both AI and real-world opponents with ease.
As the commander of said army, you're charged with recruiting soldiers from diverse Brigades that each have unique combat styles; strategically placing your troops on the battlefield; and celebrating every time you overcome a rival army.
This is war!
Unlike its predecessor, Ravenmark: Mercenaries features asynchronous multiplayer play.
This means you can compete against other players from around the world, without having to hug your device in fear of missing your turn and leaving your army to be slaughtered in your absence.
Ravenmark: Mercenaries is available to download completely free of charge. Check it out, if you're into that sort of thing.
