Carroll College Golf Opening Day at National Tourney

From Head Coach Ben MacIntyre After Their First Day;

First Round has been completed. Carroll College is currently in 22nd place out of 29 teams at the N.A.I.A. National Golf Championships.

Course played extremely tough in the wind and rain. We had a brief 30 minute delay to let some water get off a few greens during our round.

We got off to a great start as a team in brutal weather and briefly led the tournament through 3 holes. We tee off at 7:30-8:10am tomorrow off hole #1.

Guys are excited to get back out there in the morning and go to work. There is a cut after round 3 and only top 17 teams get to play on Friday.

After our morning round we will be visiting a local Salem Elementary school to meet the students as part of a service project while we are here. Early night for the Saints... here's hoping for better weather tomorrow. Go Carroll College!
